How to delete Temporary Internet Files

Your computer stores these temporary internet files to help the computer speed up the common tasks you perform. Unfortunately, your information might be exposed. If a virus, Trojan horse, hacker, or strange pop-up/web site notices this on the computer, your private information can be stolen. Take the right measures to protect your digital information.

You should make it a practice to delete temporary internet files on a regularly basis - either manually or with a helpful software program. Do the following steps which  helps you to remove the information safely and will ensure that all your sensitive information is permanently removed.

In Internet Explorer:
•Open Internet Explorer and click on the "Tools" menu.
• In the "Tools" menu, click on "Internet Options".
•In "Internet Options", go to the "General" Tab. There are two buttons located in the middle. One is "Delete Files" and the other is "Delete Cookies".
•Click "Delete Files" to delete temporary internet files
•Click the "OK" button when you receive the confirmation box.
• Next, click the "Delete Cookies" button. This removes your internet cookie files.
• Click "OK" on this confirmation box as well.

In Chrome :
•Open Google Chrome
•Go to Settings
•Click Show Advanced Settings on the bottom
•Under the Privacy section, click Clear Browsing Data.
•Make sure that Empty the cache and Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data are checked
•Click Clear browsing data.

Open Mozilla Firefox
• Click the Firefox button and then choose Options
•With the Options window now open, click the Privacy tab
•In the History area, click the clear your recent history link
•In the Clear Recent History window that appears, set the Time range to clear: to Everything
•In the list at the bottom of the window, uncheck everything except for Cache and Offline Website Data
 

The other option is to go to start then type RUN and a window opens, in that window type %temp%
