Unable to receive mail from staff list or any other list.

We have received complaints from users about how they are unable to receive emails from the staff list.

Let us explore some of the causes.

1. Not Subscribed to the list - One of the reasons someone is not able to receive email from the staff list or any other list like the academic list, it is simply because they aren't subscribed to the list.
2. Not A member of the specific group- Someone would still wonder why they aren't able to get information from academic list. Take for example an administrative staff wanting to join the academic list, the academic list is closed to academic staff so an administrative staff cannot be part of it and he or she cannot be added because the email addresses act as identifiers of which unit or college someone belongs too.

How do I join the staff list or any other list

1. To join the staff list, first of all you must have a registered mak address e.g akato@dicts.mak.ac.ug which was created by the Unit/College admin since they are given rights an powers by DICTS to do so.
2. The second thing is you must be a member of a college or unit
3. The Third is you subscribe to the list by filling in details of your account and password then a message will be send to the list moderator asking them to approve your request.
