The world and community we live in always brings demands that need visual evidence. Imagine a function or an event that has just happened in the university or wherever you are, If pictures are posted then, it will speak more than the written words, some one can see and read more from a picture. Almost every kind of picture gets to social media because those putting up the pictures want their followers to know what is happening so that they can follow through and like or comment or share to bring more awareness. Pictures spread like wild fire on social media. Some pictures have been used as evidence for certain things, pictures have been photoshopped or recreating to bring shame or someone down etc.. While you surf the internet to show case reseach, you always have to ask yourself questions to see if the picture being posted is befitting for the whole community to consume, even those you don't know eventually read through.

Here is why you need to be careful with Photographs.

1. Photographs often contain information that could be used to identify you or the places you visit frequently.
2. Never post unflattering or embarrassing pictures (no matter how funny) that could come back to haunt you.
3. Carefully examine photos for identifying information such as the name of your school, Institution, the name of a sports team or organization you belong to, the address of the place you work or your favorite social hangout.
4. Do not give out the full name of a child in your captions. E.g One mother was very concerned to see her son's wrestling picture online with his full name. Pictures can also be copied or altered and used on other websites in ways that might be detrimental to your reputation.
