MAK Auth SSO
Introduction
Makerere University prioritizes ICT in order to achieve its vision. There are several applications that students and staff use on a daily for their academic and official services. For each application (say MUELE, webmail, MAK IR, AIMS), a student has been required to create a new set of login credentials (Usually username and password), However with the increased number of these applications, students and staff usually find it difficult to memorize these credentials and also to understand what application to login for what exact service.
Through Single Sign-On (SSO), there is ability for one to log in on one platform (in this case MAK Auth SSO), and traverse from one application to another without having to log in again. This means that with a single set of credentials, that is to say one set of username and password, a student/staff can be able to access the several applications that the university gives them access to.
Procedures
Required of students and staff is to authenticate their credentials through muele where a new link has been provided.
